Senior Citizen Services are available to anyone over the age of 60 years. Services include transportation to doctor appointments, food assistance as needed through the Human Services Office. Meals are provided on week days (excluding holidays) through the Alamo, Caliente and Pioche Senior Centers and the Meals on Wheels program. There may be a small cost for these meals.
Transportation to doctor office visits can be accommodated by the Lincoln County Bus. If you are unable to schedule an appointment at your doctor when the bus is available, additional transportation may be obtained by calling the Human Resources office at 775-962-8084.
Senior Centers
There are Senior Centers located in all the major towns. Meals are served at the Alamo, Pioche and Caliente Senior Centers. There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per person over the age of 60 years and $4.00 for people under the age of 60 years. Certified homebound services are also available. Please make reservations one day in advance by calling the Human Services office at 775-962-8084. Meals-on-Wheels is available by calling the Human Services office.
